Paradise = Jannat

In Islam, “Paradise” is directly translated to “Jannat” (pronounced as “Jannah”) which means “Garden” in Arabic; essentially, it refers to the eternal abode of the righteous in the afterlife, a place of ultimate peace and happiness for those who follow the Islamic faith. 

Key points about Jannat:

  • Literal meaning: “Garden” 
  • Concept: The ultimate reward for believers in Islam, where all their desires and needs will be fulfilled 
  • Different levels: Within Jannat, there are different levels, with the highest being known as “Jannatul Firdaus”
