Iqra=إقراء

Iqra is an Arabic word that means “read” or “recite”. It is also a Muslim name for girls of Urdu origin. 

Iqra is significant in Islam because it is believed to be the first word revealed to Muhammad in the Quran. It is the first word of the first chapter of the Quran, which is a call to people to seek knowledge and enlightenment. 

The 96th chapter of the Quran is sometimes called Sūrat Iqrā, which means “Read”.
